Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Tractors Market (tractorsmarket.com) collects, why, how long we keep it and what rights you have. We process personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR and other data protection laws that apply to you.

1. Who is responsible for your data

2. What data we collect

• Account data — name, email address, phone number, password (stored only as a secure hash), account type, and for business accounts the company name, registration and VAT numbers.
• Listing data — the content of your listings, photos, location (country, region, city) and the contact details you choose to show on them.
• Messages — what you send to a seller or to us through the contact forms, with your name, email and phone if you provide it.
• Newsletter — your email address and the date you subscribed.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, recorded in server logs and, if you consent, by analytics tools.

3. Why we use it and on what legal basis

• To create and run your account and publish your listings — performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• To pass a buyer's message to the seller of a listing — performance of a contract and our legitimate interest in running the marketplace.
• To moderate listings, prevent fraud and spam, and keep the site secure — legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
• To send the newsletter — your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time with the link in every email.
• To measure how the site is used — your consent, given through the cookie banner.
• To keep records required by tax or other laws — legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).

4. Who can see your data

The contact details you put on a listing are public while the listing is live. When a buyer writes to you through a listing, you receive their name, contact details and message.

We use trusted service providers to run the site — hosting, email delivery and, with your consent, analytics. They process data only on our instructions and under a data processing agreement. We do not sell your personal data.

Some providers, such as Google, may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, the transfer is protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

5. How long we keep it

• Account data — while your account is open, and up to 30 days after you close it.
• Listings — while they are online; a deleted listing stays in the archive for 30 days so you can restore it, then it is deleted for good together with its photos.
• Messages — up to 12 months.
• Server logs — up to 90 days.
• Newsletter — until you unsubscribe.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. Most of your data can be changed directly in your account. For anything else, write to info@tractorsmarket.com; we reply within one month.

You may also complain to the data protection authority in the country where you live or work, or where we are established.

7. Visitors in the United States

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined in US state privacy laws. Residents of California and other states with privacy laws may ask us to disclose, correct or delete their personal information by writing to info@tractorsmarket.com. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

8. Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary for the site to work and, only with your consent, analytics and marketing cookies. See the Cookie Policy for details, or change your choice in the cookie settings.

9. Children

The site is intended for adults buying and selling machinery. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.

10. Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and, for significant changes, notify registered members by email.
