How to sell farm machinery faster
· Povilas Pinelis · 1 min read
A well-prepared listing sells several times faster. These are the things that matter most.
Listings with complete specifications and good photos receive several times more enquiries than short ones. A few minutes of preparation pays off.
Photos that answer questions
Take at least eight photos in daylight: both sides, front and rear, the cab interior, the engine bay, the tyres and the hour meter. Clean the machine first — buyers judge maintenance by what they see.
Specifications buyers filter on
Fill in the year, operating hours and power, and every category-specific field such as transmission type or working width. Many buyers never see listings that leave these empty, because they filter on them.
An honest description
Describe the service history, recent repairs and anything that needs attention. Honesty attracts serious buyers and saves you time on calls that go nowhere.
A realistic price
Compare similar machines of the same age and hours. A price slightly above your minimum leaves room to negotiate; one far above the market keeps the phone silent.
