Photos that sell machinery

Simple ways to take listing photos that make buyers stop scrolling.
The first photo decides whether a buyer opens your listing. It is worth getting right.
Light and background
Shoot in daylight with the sun behind you, on a clean yard rather than in a dark shed. Move the machine away from clutter so its outline is clear.
The main photo
A three-quarter view from the front, at the height of the bonnet, shows the size and condition of the machine best. Make it the first photo.
Details that build trust
- The hour meter, readable.
- Tyres, with tread depth visible.
- The engine bay and the hydraulic connections.
- Any damage — showing it openly saves a wasted trip for both sides.
